Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Computer Support Technician on the Pocahontas Campus. This is a full-time, 12-month position, and is a grade C115 with the State Classification and Compensation System.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Computer Support Technician provides end-user hardware and software support. This position is also responsible for evaluating, installing and providing training for new and existing software products and updates as directed. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Computer Services.
Education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a major in computer applications, computer science, or a related field, plus one year of experience in computer applications or related areas. Experience providing hardware, software and user support in a large network environment is preferred.
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of a review committee.
