Sandra Parker, Food Preparation Coordinator at BRTC, accepted the Communications Award during the National Leadership Conference of the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) held last month at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis, MN.
Parker received the award for her work on the newsletter of the Arkansas Chapter of ANFP, of which she is editor. Scoring for the award is based on quality of writing, content, spelling and grammar, ANFP activities, layout and page design, and overall integrity.”
“I enjoy working on the newsletter and I also enjoy attending the national conference,” said Parker. “Both are great ways to interact with my peers and get new ideas that can be utilized in my job. My favorite part of this year’s conference was the executive chef’s presentations that focused on healthier cooking ideas that actually cut costs.”
This is Parker’s second term as ANFP Arkansas newsletter editor. She previously served from 2009-2011. She also serves as District President.
