Black River Technical College offers an LPN to RN Bridge Program through ARNEC. ARNEC is a consortium of eight community and technical colleges located in rural areas of Arkansas.
ARNEC was created to provide LPN’s/LVN’s with the opportunity to take the next step towards advancing their careers in nursing by earning an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree, which prepares them to sit for the RN licensing exam, the NCLEX-RN.
There is a checklist provided on the ARNEC website with all required documents listed. It is the applicant’s responsibility to update their application if any information changes, i.e. updated transcript, mailing or e-mail address.
ARNEC bases selection on the GPA of your required pre-requiestes and a nursing entrance exam (NACE: Foundations of Nursing). The National League of Nursing does not have a study guide for the RN entrance exam the (NACE). The cost of the exam is $55.00. To prepare you can use an NCLEX-PN Review book. You can find the NACE Bulletin available under your NLN account resources tab.
- Deadline for applications for the January LPN to RN Bridge program is August 31st.
- NO incomplete applications will be accepted!
