BRTC Art Club membership is open to any student. Being enrolled in an art course is not a requirement. Yearly dues are $10.00. The club participates in fundraisers such as decorating pumpkins and wreaths in the fall and holding a starving artist sale in the spring. Students enjoy a movie meeting where the group votes on popular movies they want to watch (movies are an authentic and complicated art form). Free popcorn is provided and the group enjoys the big-screen effect from the art lab projector. Overnight field trips are planned.
In the fall of 2012, the group traveled to Crystal Bridges Art Museum in Bentonville, AR. The next day the group toured Thorncrown Chapel, Christ of the Ozarks statue, and the downtown area of Eureka Springs, AR.
In the spring of 2013, the group traveled to St. Louis by train and viewed the Da Vinci Exhibit on loan from Milan, Italy. Members also toured the St. Louis Art Museum, the Gateway Arch and Museum, and rode on a paddlewheel boat down the Mississippi River. In the fall of 2013, members visited the Clinton Library and saw Rembrandt and Gainsborough paintings at the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock. Future trips include a trip to San Antonio, Forth Worth, or Chicago.
