Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Planning and Research. This is a full-time, twelve month position.
The Director of Planning and Research conducts statistical and analytical studies supporting the academic and administrative functions of the College working under the supervision of the Vice President of Academics. The director will work to assist academic and administrative leaders in making data-informed decisions. This position will compile and interpret information, develop data collection surveys and instruments, assist in providing campus users and the public with timely access to data. This position will also assist with collection, submission of data for various state and federal reports such as legislative requests, ADHE compliance, IPEDS, Higher Learning Commission, CCSSE, grant applications, and other reporting or data compilation as required or assigned. Occasional variance in daily work schedule and occasional travel and weekend and evening hours may be required.
The formal education equivalent of a Baccalaureate degree is required. Master’s degree preferred with two years of experience in research and statistical analysis or a related field. Knowledge of institutional research or higher education reporting requirements preferred, experience with data management, including verification of data integrity, data auditing, data extraction, and data cleaning. Must be proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, and data query software. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
