Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Fiscal Support Technician for the Office of Finance on the Pocahontas campus. This is a full time, 12-month position, and is classified as a grade C108 with the ADHE’s Classification and Compensation System.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Fiscal Support Technician works under general supervision of the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for communicating with students regarding their account balance as well as maintaining records of transactions involving student financial obligations and related accounts. The successful candidate will exhibit a friendly and helpful demeanor, as this position interacts with students and the public often.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: serve as cashier; verify and post cash receipts to student accounts; reconcile, process, and maintain student accounts receivable records; issue and maintain parking permit information; perform timely data entry of various information; assist with various other accounts receivable activities; and other duties as assigned.
The formal education equivalent of an associate degree is preferred plus two years of experience of bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or related experience. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of a review committee.
