STATEMENT AND SCOPE:
The BRTC Foundation, through its SEAS initiative, will provide funding assistance for special events and activities that are of potential significant benefit to the students and/or staff of Black River Technical College. This funding assistance is intended for those events or activities for which college operational or departmental funding is not available.
All BRTC faculty and staff, including full-time and part-time employees.
FUNDABLE EVENT OR ACTIVITY:
Special projects, programs, and travel opportunities (restricted to assistance to help defray travel and lodging costs).
DEADLINES FOR FUNDING REQUESTS:
Funds will be determined by the SEAS Committee at the beginning of each fiscal year and will be based on applying a percentage in the range of 2-5% of unrestricted funds, as well as including any restricted Foundation funding designated for SEAS.
Interested applicants should complete the BRTC Foundation SEAS Funding Request, available online. Applicants should submit the forms as far in advance as possible, and in no situation should applicants expend the monies before approval has been received. Funds are awarded on a “first come-first served” basis. Once the appropriate supervisory signatures have been obtained, applicants should submit the form to the Administrative Assistant to the President.
The maximum funding award per request is $500, unless the SEAS Committee chooses to review and exceed this amount. Requests will be considered in the order in which they are received so as to award funding support to as many eligible projects as possible. To receive the maximum funding, a minimum of 10 individuals should participate in the activity, regardless of the overall cost of the event or activity.
SEAS Committee Members Present:
