Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Library Support Assistant at the Pocahontas location. This is a part-time position requiring up to 29 hours per week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for performing general library clerical duties, processing library materials, and performing basic patron services in order to meet the mission and vision statement by the BRTC Library. Excellent computer skills needed with the ability to use library programs and related online databases and services. Position will include handling circulation desks details, processing books and A/V materials, keeping periodical records, and helping patrons locate materials in print and online. Must be able to adjust to a large variety of clerical tasks, have excellent records management skills, and possess the initiative to learn the collection. Can include evening hours.
Associate’s Degree preferred. Some job-related experience is desirable. Other job-related experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.
