The rapidly-growing field of automobile body repair and construction is the focus of the Auto Collision Repair Technology program. Students gain knowledge and hands-on experience in structural alignment, dent removal, and paintless dent removal. The program also covers replacing damaged parts, body sectioning, painting, refinishing procedures, and plastic repair in both theory and practice. These and other skills are taught via industry-current collision-related computer programs as estimating, laser body alignment, and color Cromavision.
Work opportunities include not only the many jobs in collision repair centers, but also in the fields of insurance adjusting or appraising, and as paint specialists with paint companies or in industrial centers.
