Students in the 13-week Certificate of Proficiency Phlebotomy program learn to draw blood samples from patients using a variety of intrusive procedures. Students will learn basic vascular anatomy and physiology and blood physiology. They will acquire skills in skin puncture techniques, veni-puncture, venous specimen collection and handling, and safety and sanitation procedures.
