POCAHONTAS, AR July 23, 2020 – Brooke Spurlock of Pocahontas has received the Dr. Joshua R. Toney, DDS P.A. Scholarship, made possible by funding from Dr. Joshua Toney of Sandhill Dentistry in Pocahontas. She is a 2020 graduate of Pocahontas High School and the daughter of Holli and Travis Lillard. Spurlock is seeking an Associate of Arts in General Education and plans on a career in Dentistry.
The Dr. Joshua R. Toney, DDS, P.A., Scholarship is a 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarship. The 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarships have been awarded to 17 students attending BRTC. Each scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship. The Black River Technical College Foundation matches the $1000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, fall and spring, provided the student maintains enrollment and meets GPA requirements.
