Black River Technical College Allied Health Programs will be hosting a community health fair on Tuesday, October 20th from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm in the Randolph County Development Center. Services are free to the public and include:
- flu immunizations provided by the Randolph County Health Unit (mist will not be available at this time)
- vision screening by Custom Eyes
- blood test for prostate cancer screening provided by Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation
- cholesterol screening provided by 1st Choice Healthcare, mammograms provided by St. Bernard’s Mobile Mammography
- Mammograms will be performed every 20 minutes on a first-come, first serve basis (a limited number of vouchers for free mammograms are available for those who are not able to be provided this service on this day)
*Please bring an insurance card if insured. No one will be turned away based on ability to pay.
Multiple vendors will provide informational booths which includes:
- 1st Choice Healthcare- information on signing up for insurance through the Affordable Care Act
- Five Rivers Medical Center- education on stroke, heart attack, and trauma
- Air Evac- information regarding services available and the helicopter on site if weather permits
- Mid-South Health Systems- information on the services available
- Fitness Worx- information on classes offered
- North Arkansas Home Care- information on services offered and service area
- Be The Match- cheek swabbing to be placed on the Marrow Registry
- Pro-Med Ambulance- information on services available
- Above and Beyond Home Care- information on services offered and service area

We have a group from the Pocahontas Senior Center which were planning on coming tomorrow morning, Tuesday October 18th, but I see the listing on this site says it’s the 20th.
